What the E2 code means
The E2 error tells you that the indoor evaporator coil sensor (pipe sensor) is reading abnormally — either an open circuit (disconnected) or a short circuit (damaged). The control board cannot measure coil temperature, so it shuts the compressor down.
Important: Do not keep resetting the unit. Running without coil-temperature feedback can freeze the evaporator or overheat the compressor.

What does the E2 code mean?

How to fix the E2 error
Power off and wait 5 minutes
Switch the AC off at the breaker, wait, then restart. If E2 clears, it may have been a one-time glitch.
Open the indoor unit cover
Remove the front panel and locate the coil sensor — a small thermistor clipped to the evaporator pipe, with a two-pin connector running to the PCB.
Check the connector
Unplug and reseat the sensor connector firmly. Look for corrosion or bent pins.
Test the sensor
With a multimeter set to resistance, measure across the sensor pins. At 25°C it should read roughly 10 kΩ. An open reading (OL) or near-zero means the sensor is faulty.
Replace the sensor
If resistance is out of spec, replace the thermistor with a genuine Samsung part matching your model.
Safety first: Isolate power at the breaker before opening the indoor unit. The evaporator fins are sharp — wear gloves.
